Our Professional Obligations

As a registered tax agent, we are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. This includes obligations to:

  • Conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity
  • Comply fully with all applicable taxation laws
  • Prioritise our clients’ best interests, except where doing so would breach the law
  • Maintain professional competence and engage in ongoing professional development
  • Safeguard client confidentiality at all times
  • Provide appropriate supervision of staff and any outsourced service providers
  • Implement and uphold effective administrative and quality assurance systems

Client Obligations

Clients engaging our services are expected to:

  • Be truthful with the information you provide your tax practitioner.
  • Keep the required records and provide them to your tax practitioner on a timely basis, as required.
  • Be co-operative with your tax practitioner’s requests, and meet their due dates.
  • Comply with the tax laws.

Disclosures of Significant Matters

As at the date of publication:

  • LJR Accounting and Business Services Pty Ltd and its principals have no suspensions, restrictions, or disciplinary actions recorded against them with the Tax Practitioners Board.
  • There are no matters that may reasonably influence your decision to engage or continue to engage our services.

Should any such matters arise in the future, this disclosure will be updated within 30 days in accordance with our obligations under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009.
